About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Waverly, NE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer in an industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor access activity to support a secure environment. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and use technology to document security-related information. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the industrial location by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor entry, and maintaining accurate access records.
  • Observe incoming and outgoing vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian activity at access points, following site procedures for deliveries, shipments, and restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
