Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening visitors, verifying credentials, and controlling access to restricted areas at a utility location.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, maintain access logs and/or visitor records, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify security-related concerns, unauthorized access attempts, and/or operational issues.
• Support employees, contractors, and approved visitors with directions and access-related questions while helping to uphold facility rules and post instructions.
