About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Control in Thomson, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying badges and visitor access, and documenting security-related activity. You will provide welcoming customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a reliable operation through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first approach.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Monitor and control access to the distribution location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor records, and directing authorized personnel to designated areas.
Observe inbound and outbound vehicle activity, support access protocols at gates and entry points, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
