As a Security Officer Entry Control in Ontario, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support daily operations with strong customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, associates, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, badge and credential checks, and other security-related policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for employees, vendors, and drivers, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted and operational areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Support receiving and shipping operations by documenting arrivals and departures, maintaining visitor and vehicle logs, and communicating access-related information with site contacts and/or supervisors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and other assigned zones as conditions at the location vary.
