Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will help manage entry activity, monitor assigned areas, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at the location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry, and document deliveries, vendors, and/or contractors in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entrances, common areas, loading zones, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Support retail location operations by observing foot traffic patterns, assisting with directions and general inquiries, and communicating unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
