Job Description As a Security Officer - Entry Control Driver in Ladson, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Auto, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer on an access control post at a leading automotive location, you will welcome employees and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and manage gate and lobby entry using computer and/or tablet systems. You will maintain a visible presence, document activity, and help deter security-related incidents through clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supported by a team that acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an automotive location.
  • Control entry and exit for employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries by verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, and maintaining visitor and vehicle logs.
  • Monitor gates, dock areas, and/or entry points for unusual activity and report concerns using required communication and reporting processes.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized access and support security-related operations.
