As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor visitor and vehicle access, and support security-related protocols. You will maintain a visible presence, help deter incidents, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and document activities using computer-based systems. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization credentials, issue visitor badges, and maintain accurate access-control records.
  • Screen employees, contractors, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements; communicate access concerns and/or unauthorized entry attempts to appropriate site personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and emergency procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, surrounding business areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
