As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, screening visitors and deliveries, and conducting routine patrols. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site procedures.
  • Screen incoming and outgoing personnel, vehicles, and deliveries as directed, helping to deter unauthorized access and support the controlled movement of freight.
  • Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and promptly report concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting and reporting unusual conditions.
