About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Unarmed Mobile Patrol in Barstow, California, to provide security at a government human services location. The position offers a designated weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to that schedule. Officers may claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The listed pay rate is $20.46 per hour. The scheduled shift is Saturday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

The officer provides customer service and maintains a professional presence in a public-facing setting while carrying out site procedures, conducting unarmed patrols, monitoring access and visitor activity, responding to incidents, and documenting observations. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government human services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, service calls, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of public areas, offices, parking areas, building entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, help direct individuals to appropriate services, and maintain a professional presence in a public-facing environment.
• Accurately document incidents, observations, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
