About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Door Attendant in Valrico, Florida. The role provides a fixed, designated weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and the option to scale back. The listed schedule is Saturday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM, at $16.00 per hour.

The position provides customer service to residents, guests, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. Duties include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying access, keeping records, responding professionally to incidents, communicating security observations, and conducting patrols of residential common areas and surrounding locations.

Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. A guard card or license is preferred. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening. Licensing may be required under state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required before employment under applicable state or local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, and visitors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and delivery records according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations.
• Communicate professionally with residents, property staff, guests, and emergency responders, and report security-related observations and incidents.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
