Security Officer (EMT) - Full-Time / Nights
About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring the highest level of safety and security for residents, guests, and staff by monitoring and patrolling the property, escorting/assisting residents and guests as needed. The Security Officer will also serve as a first responder to all emergency medical situations, using EMT skills to triage and perform necessary CPR and/or First Aid. In addition to protecting community assets, the role involves handling minor emergency maintenance.
Requirements
- AZ EMT CERTIFICATE
- Licensed in Arizona
- Ability to obtain an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- High school Diploma or GED
- One year security experience
- Valid driver license with satisfactory driving record
- CPR, BLS, First Aid certification prior to start date
- Arizona DPS unarmed guard certification
- Ability to effectively and calmly communicate orally and in writing in English
- Ability to make rational decisions in critical situations
- Ability to walk inside and outside of the Sagewood campus and stand and/or climb stairs approximately 75% of each shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to transport residents via wheelchair or other devices for up to 250 pounds
- Requires manual coordination to operate telephones, radio, computer, and other business equipment
- Normal vision and hearing required
- Compliance with LCE COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
Responsibilities
- Monitoring and patrolling Sagewood property
- Escorting and assisting residents and guests
- Serving as a first responder to emergency medical situations
- Triaging medical situations and performing CPR and/or First Aid
- Protecting community assets
- Handling minor emergency maintenance
