About The Position
As a Security Officer Driving Security Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license and adherence to driving requirements. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Security experience of 6 or more months is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns according to post guidelines.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions that may require attention.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, assist with crowd and traffic flow during events and busy periods, and report maintenance, access, and/or security-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
