Requirements

  • Hospital vaccination requirements must be met.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter points, noting unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and supporting visitor management processes.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with de-escalation, providing directions, and communicating with staff regarding security-related concerns and/or operational needs.
