About The Position
As a Security Officer Driving Role Area Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and reporting concerns according to site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, stockroom corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points.
- Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards to help support an orderly environment for customers and employees.
- Assist with access control, closing procedures, and/or other assigned post duties while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.
