About The Position

As a Security Officer Driving Role Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will conduct routine patrols and drive assigned routes, helping to support a secure environment for shoppers, staff, and visitors. You will remain visible, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. At Allied Universal, you will bring integrity, teamwork, and reliability to every shift.

Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or conditions that could impact customers, staff, merchandise, or property, helping to deter loss and disruption.
• Support closing and opening activities as assigned, including checking access points, observing high-traffic areas, and assisting with customer and associate inquiries related to site procedures.
