As an Access Control Officer at a busy retail distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support the flow of people and vehicles while conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures and supporting security-related protocols at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, badges, and/or delivery documentation, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entrances, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, with duties based on the location's needs and conditions.
  • Assist with visitor processing, contractor check-in, and/or vehicle screening while maintaining accurate logs, records, and communication with site contacts.
