Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy retail distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify badges and credentials, and support professional interactions with employees, visitors, and drivers. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Through routine presence, strong communication, and teamwork, you will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering service with integrity in a caring, reliable, and innovative culture.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a retail-related location.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points for associates, visitors, vendors, and/or delivery personnel, helping to support authorized access throughout the location.
  • Verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor information, document arrivals and departures, and communicate access-related information to site contacts as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, receiving areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, with duties and conditions varying by location.
