As a Security Officer Armed Driving Role in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a residential location, where you will conduct routine driving patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support residents and visitors while bringing a professional presence that reflects our values of being agile, reliable, innovative, team-focused, and always acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with local authorities when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout residential buildings, parking areas, common spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points, verify visitor and/or contractor information as required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance-related issues to the appropriate contacts.
  • Support property rules and community standards through visible presence, verbal de-escalation, and consistent reporting of security-related incidents and resident concerns.
