About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driving Role in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed, driving patrol officer in a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support riders and staff through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess 3 or more years of military police, corrections officer, or armed security-related experience, or be a certified law enforcement graduate.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license as required.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support orderly entry, exit, and/or movement of people through the location.
• Assist with security-related inquiries, provide directions and information, and support post orders involving radios, incident reports, and coordination during service disruptions and/or emergencies.
