Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or authorized personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel in line with post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, inspect restricted areas as directed, and report unusual conditions, hazards, and/or security-related concerns.
  • Support order at a controlled government environment by following chain-of-command instructions, maintaining a visible presence, and assisting with security-related procedures during routine operations and special situations.
