As a Security Officer Armed Driving in Delray Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of security-related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using appropriate judgment and armed post protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and verify identification, credentials, and/or authorized entry in accordance with site procedures and government location requirements.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in written reports, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, site contacts, and/or local authorities when appropriate.
