Security Officer - Armed Driving Patrol Full Time

Requirements
- Possess at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Possess an armed guard card or license.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and other security-related policies at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support entry screening activities while maintaining a professional armed presence in accordance with post orders and local regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate clearly with supervisors, coworkers, and/or emergency responders regarding security-related concerns.
