Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, while preparing accurate activity and incident documentation.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and campus grounds, verify credentials when required, and report policy violations, hazards, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Follow all post orders and applicable use of force, weapons handling, and reporting protocols, while maintaining a professional presence during routine operations and heightened situations.
