As a Security Officer Driving Patrol in Elk River, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic aerospace and defense location, where you will conduct routine patrols, support access activities, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license with at least one year of driving history is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and help verify that entry and exit activity follows site protocols for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or contractors.
  • Complete routine reports, logs, and/or incident documentation while maintaining awareness of location conditions, post instructions, and changing operational needs.
