Security Officer Driver
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Driver in Ontario, California, serving a retail location. The role involves unarmed patrols and maintaining a visible security presence to help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for customers, shoppers, store personnel, and staff. This is a driving position and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The officer provides customer service, follows site-specific procedures and policies, responds to emergencies, and communicates clearly and professionally. The position is scheduled Tuesday through Saturday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. The pay rate is $18.54 per hour.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- CPR certification is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual conditions, reporting incidents and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
- Accurately document observations, patrols, incidents, and daily activities in required reports and logs.
