About The Position

As a Security Officer Driver Visitor Intake in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a government location, where you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Requirements

• A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA DPSS/DHS requirements.
• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and control authorized access to buildings and restricted areas in accordance with post orders and client policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related concerns, observations, and actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting irregularities and helping to deter unauthorized access, trespassing, and other security-related issues.
• Communicate with site personnel, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as needed, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and visitor records throughout each shift.
