As a Security Officer Driver Reception in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a government location, where you will help monitor entry points, verify credentials, conduct routine patrols, and support a professional, orderly environment. This is a driving post. You will combine strong communication with visible security-related presence, delivering outstanding service while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, and document visitor, staff, and contractor access in accordance with site protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, unauthorized access attempts, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
  • Support screening and controlled movement procedures for people, packages, and/or vehicles entering restricted areas while following post orders and applicable regulations.
