Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will conduct routine patrols of public grounds, maintain a visible presence to help to reduce security-related incidents, and assist visitors with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access guidance, and/or emergency response activities at a government recreation location.
  • Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report security-related matters according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of park grounds, buildings, parking areas, trails, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor public areas and observe daily operations to help to identify maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
  • Support access control and visitor interactions by providing directions, answering questions, and documenting security-related incidents, activities, and/or irregularities.
