Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, unauthorized access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting conditions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout operational areas, buildings, gates, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized behavior.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials and/or visitor entry requirements, and communicate clearly with site personnel regarding deliveries, restricted areas, and location rules.
  • Complete required reports, logs, and/or incident documentation, and support shift handoffs by sharing important updates about security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and changing site conditions.
