Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver’s license in accordance with AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver service with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, security-related policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entrances and exits, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and help to deter unauthorized access to the location in a professional manner.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Maintain access records, visitor logs, and badge-related processes in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal standards.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around assigned areas and the perimeter, noting unusual activity and reporting security-related concerns based on location conditions.
