Join Allied Universal as a Security Officer in a residential location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry points, and support a welcoming environment for residents and guests. You will perform routine observations, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, community policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, authorize approved access, and document visitor, vendor, and delivery activity in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related issues to site contacts and/or emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around residential buildings, common areas, parking locations, and perimeter access points, noting unusual activity and reporting concerns.
  • Communicate clearly with residents, property staff, and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activity, access-related issues, and/or security-related observations.
