Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, managing access control points, verifying credentials, and documenting visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity at a utilities location.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity for authorized personnel and/or guests, help to deter unauthorized access, and communicate access concerns or policy questions to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following emergency response activities and reporting security-related concerns according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance, access, and other security-related issues.
  • Complete required logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting site-specific policies, badge control processes, key control procedures, and related access authorization practices.
