About The Position

As a Security Officer Checkpoint Driver in La Porte, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A TSA issued TWIC is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and drivers by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorizations, process visitors and deliveries, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Maintain required logs, reports, and access-related records, and communicate security-related concerns, incidents, and unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and location protocols for evacuations, shelter-in-place directions, and/or other emergency conditions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, gates, and perimeter locations to identify security-related issues, equipment concerns, and/or access control irregularities.
