As a Security Officer Dispatch Console in Rapid City, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. In this role, you will monitor activity, coordinate communications, document incidents, and help support security-related operations with professionalism and care. You will serve as a key point of contact for officers, staff, and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Monitor radio, phone, alarm, and/or electronic communications systems to receive calls for service, document activity, and dispatch the appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations by gathering details, prioritizing information, and communicating updates to site personnel, supervisors, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Maintain detailed logs, incident reports, dispatch records, and other required documentation to support site operations and security-related response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and reporting maintenance, operational, and/or security-related concerns.
