About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch in Sioux Falls, SD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional supporting a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. You will help coordinate security-related responses, monitor alarms and camera activity, track incidents, and communicate updates to on-site teams and leadership. You will also support routine patrol activity by keeping operations organized, documenting events, and delivering a high level of customer service. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience or 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience or 3+ years' security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Operate a dispatch post by monitoring alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and communication channels; receive calls for service and route requests to the appropriate resources.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, dispatching personnel, and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random camera tours and/or coordinate perimeter and interior patrol coverage as needed; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and access or alarm activity records, and communicate status updates to client contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
