About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
  • Have a college degree.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a financial services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate dispatch functions by monitoring alarms, cameras, and incoming calls, prioritizing requests for assistance, and coordinating officer response via radio, phone, and/or other communication systems.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, gathering key details, notifying appropriate internal contacts and/or public responders, and supporting follow-up actions.
  • Maintain accurate shift activity reports, incident documentation, and dispatch logs, including times, actions taken, and parties notified, in accordance with site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, checking for unusual conditions and reporting concerns promptly.
