About The Position

As a Security Officer - Dispatch in The Dalles, OR , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Having a guard card and/or security-related license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a technology and data center location.
  • Monitor access control points, verify credentials, manage visitor processing, and document entries and exits in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate pertinent information to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership as needed.
