About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Specialist in Newark, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Dispatch professional supporting a dynamic financial institution location. In this role, you will monitor systems, coordinate communications, document activity, and help to address security-related incidents with professionalism and care. You will serve as a key connection point for officers, employees, and visitors while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

  • 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities for a financial institution location.
  • Monitor dispatch communications, receive and document calls for service, prioritize routine and urgent requests, and coordinate the appropriate response to security-related incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity.
  • Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and communication records, helping to support accurate documentation, follow-up, and information sharing with site leadership and/or responding personnel.
  • Use radios, phones, computer systems, and other dispatch tools to relay timely information, track officer status, and help to coordinate coverage for posts, escorts, and incident response needs.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to direct resources, communicate updates, and support regular and random patrol activity around the business and perimeter as needed.
