Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and faculty by carrying out site-specific procedures, handling incoming calls, and supporting security-related communications at an educational location.
  • Monitor radios, phones, alarms, cameras, and/or other communication systems to receive, prioritize, and relay calls for service and routine activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and sharing timely updates with site leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and daily activity reports, helping to support organized communication and follow-up on security-related matters.
  • Coordinate routine and urgent requests, provide directions and general assistance, and help to support emergency response activities in alignment with site policies and procedures.
