Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Monitor phones, radios, alarms, and/or other communication systems to receive calls for service, document activity, and dispatch appropriate personnel in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Respond to incidents, urgent requests, and critical situations by gathering key information, prioritizing calls, and coordinating communication with site contacts, first responders, and/or Allied Universal personnel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and dispatch records, and help to support access control, visitor management, and other security-related operations for the location.
