About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Communications in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor communications and alarm activity, coordinate responses to security-related incidents, and maintain accurate records. Requirements

  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a technology and telecommunications location.
  • Monitor and dispatch security-related personnel in response to alarms, access issues, service requests, incidents, and critical situations, maintaining calm and professional communication.
  • Receive, document, prioritize, and communicate incoming calls, radio traffic, and electronic notifications using dispatch and incident-reporting systems.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident records, shift reports, and communication documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
  • Coordinate with on-site personnel and emergency responders as needed, and conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter when assigned.
