Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out site-specific procedures, visitor processing, badge distribution, and access control activities for a manufacturing and industrial location.
  • Monitor entry points, verify identification and/or credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access in accordance with Allied Universal standards and location policies.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, phone calls, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate details to site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support employees, contractors, and guests with directions, sign-in procedures, and general assistance while maintaining a professional presence at the reception area.
