Requirements

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a front desk location.
  • Monitor lobby and reception areas, assist with visitor check-in and badge processes, and help to control access in accordance with site-specific protocols.
  • Answer phones, greet guests, and provide directions and information while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns and unusual activity.
  • Respond to incidents, questions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report security-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and/or client representatives.
