About The Position

As a Security Officer Data Center Mobile Patrol in Mesa, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading tech and data center location as an unarmed patrol officer. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support access control and customer interactions. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. Guided by teamwork, integrity, and a people-first culture, you will play a valued role in daily security-related operations.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor access as directed by site procedures, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Support day-to-day operations by completing incident reports, maintaining accurate activity logs, and reporting hazards, suspicious behavior, and/or operational issues according to post orders.
