About The Position

As a Security Officer Cycling Patrol Unit in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and campus personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, and report relevant details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout academic buildings, residence areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Monitor entrances, common areas, and campus grounds for policy violations, maintenance concerns, and/or suspicious behavior, and communicate observations to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control, directional support, and general assistance across the location while supporting a professional environment for the campus community.
