As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Central Valley, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing details with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe customer and employee traffic, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or operational issues according to site protocols.
  • Support loss prevention and asset protection efforts by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with incident response, and communicating with store representatives and/or local authorities when needed.
