Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government school location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter incidents, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with school personnel and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, parking areas, athletic spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity during school and after-school hours, following location protocols for entry, identification, and restricted area access.
  • Support daily school operations by assisting with traffic flow, monitoring common areas, and reporting maintenance, policy, and/or behavioral concerns through proper channels.
