About The Position

As a Security Officer Custody Officer in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Possess at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures by verifying authorization, providing directions, and documenting required entries and incidents.
  • Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.
