About The Position

As a Security Officer Custody Officer in Westminster, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a driving Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate clearly with visitors and staff while responding to concerns with professionalism. Requirements

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, maintain visitor records, and report suspicious activity or access concerns according to established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, buildings, grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
