About The Position

As a Security Officer Credentialing Access at an automotive operations location in West Columbia, South Carolina, you will help maintain a welcoming and secure environment by managing visitor and employee access, issuing badges, monitoring entry points, and responding to access-related concerns. You will provide customer service, communicate professionally, and support routine security operations. The position is full-time and pays $15.00 per hour. The listed schedule includes shifts Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with varying hours.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records.
Control access to restricted areas, coordinate with site personnel regarding arrivals and departures, and report access discrepancies or unauthorized entry attempts.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following established escalation and communication procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, vehicle staging locations, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
